In this model, agents, deployed within microservices, expose aspects of their state as virtual resources that are externally accessible using REpresentational State Transfer (REST). Virtual resources are implemented as CArtAgO artifacts, exposing their state to the agent as a set of observable properties. Coupled with a set of artifact operations, this enables the agent to monitor and manage its own resources. In the paper, we formally model our approach, defining passive and active resource management strategies, and illustrate its use within a worked example.}, isbn = {978-3-030-66534-0}, }
